Engineering the data backbone behind every Cerebri AI insight

Jean Belanger is the Co-Founder and CEO of Cerebri AI, which he launched in 2016 as a pioneer in artificial intelligence and machine learning for the enterprise. Guided by his vision, Cerebri AI evolved from a Capital Factory startup in Austin into an international enterprise. Today, the company operates across Austin and Toronto, leveraging advanced AI and data engineering to drive innovation in corporate travel, customer engagement, and ESG analytics. The company has filed more than 30 patents to date and counts a major North American bank, a global payments provider, and two top-ten global automotive OEMs among its clients, with M12 Ventures (formerly Microsoft Ventures) leading its most recent funding round.

Cerebri AI represents Jean's second data science venture. He previously founded and led Reddwerks, where his team built operations-research and IoT solutions that automated order processing for retail and e-commerce giants including Walmart, CVS, and Best Buy. Reddwerks was acquired by Dematic in 2015. Earlier in his career, Jean served as Chairman and CEO of Metrowerks, a developer tools company that went public on NASDAQ before being acquired by Motorola, where he then led business development for the semiconductor business unit. He began his career at PwC and has also worked in investment banking and venture capital, backing early-stage technology companies.

Jean is the creator of Cerebri Values™, the industry's first universal measure of customer commitment, which uses machine learning to quantify each customer's likelihood to spend and dynamically predict next best actions at scale. He has been recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist and is an active mentor at Capital Factory, supporting the next generation of founders building outside Silicon Valley.

He holds an M.Sc. in Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a B.Comm. from the University of Ottawa.
